Stephanie Nguyen lives in Plano, Texas, and is the Youth Choirs Conductor’s Assistant for Millennial® Choirs & Orchestras Texas-Dallas. She has been singing with the Dallas locale since its inaugural season in 2013, serving as the Grand Chorus Manager from 2014–2017 and as the Alto 1 Section Leader since 2014.
Stephanie was raised in South Lake Tahoe, California, where she played trumpet and French horn in band, sang in choir, and studied piano. She graduated with degrees in psychology and music from Brigham Young University, where she sang with the BYU Concert Choir under the direction of Rosalind Hall, assisted by Brett Stewart. She also sang in the BYU University Chorale under the direction of Joni Jensen and Cherilyn Worthen.
In 2003 Stephanie married Richard Nguyen and moved to Texas, where she taught high school choir for five years and received numerous Sweepstakes awards with her choirs at UIL competitions and various music festivals. She sang in Evening Song, a Dallas chamber choir, from 2004–2013 under the direction of David Featherstone and served as his assistant. She also played trumpet in the Allen Community Band and Jazz Band and was their featured vocalist from 2014–2018. In 2008 she had her first baby and “retired” from the classroom to teach voice lessons. Stephanie now has three beautiful children and is in her 17th year as a private voice teacher.
Stephanie is thrilled to be serving the youth of MCO in Dallas!
